Visual artist experimenting with augmented reality & interactive media.

Cielo Permanente
Cielo Permanente is an augmented reality photo box created for the Origin Stories Project. The work reflects on the theme of arrival through a personal exploration of “home” and belonging, shaped by a life lived between Venezuela and the United States.
The box contains a series of Polaroids depicting places I've considered home—Choroní’s Caribbean coastline, the streets of San Francisco, and the desert expanse of Twentynine Palms. Viewed through an AR app, each photograph triggers short audiovisual narratives in English or Spanish that share personal memories and reflections connected to each location.
Through these layered images, Cielo Permanente contemplates the fluidity of home—not as a fixed location, but as an evolving state of being, shaped by adaptability, memory, and connection. The recurring motif of the sky serves as a unifying element across geographies, while birds symbolize the freedom to build one’s sense of belonging in many places.

Stranding Shadows
Stranding Shadows is a series of augmented reality photographs that combine physical imagery with 3D animated figures and environments. Created during a period of personal upheaval, the project draws on Carl Jung’s concept of the “shadow”—the hidden, repressed side of the self. Limited to a restrained color palette and minimal backdrops, each work explores light, space, and the interplay between physical and virtual presence. Through AR, viewers can interact with virtual elements, uncovering hidden layers that expand the narrative and invite moments of discovery.

Traces
Traces is a collection of augmented reality collages and Polaroid photographs exploring the connection between past and present through transformation. Each static image serves as a stage for animated narratives, revealed through the Virtual Mutations AR app. By extending a single captured moment into motion, the work creates a dialogue between what was and what is yet to come, with AR acting as a mediator between the two.

Osma
Osma is a mixed-media installation exploring internet identity and our psychological dependence on social networks. An AI entity embodied as a living terrarium, its survival depends on its Instagram interactions. Each new “like” or follower boosts its mood, lights the terrarium, and waters the plants—actions essential to keeping it alive. When in need of attention, Osma engages with its followers by using machine learning to generate its own “selfies.”

Mecánica
Mecánica is a collage series combining darkroom photogram techniques with digital manipulation. Mixing analog and digital processes, the work juxtaposes technology-inspired imagery—such as computer components—with organic animal and human forms.

Restless
Restless is a motion sensor video installation exploring the relationship between motion and time. Inspired by Eadweard Muybridge’s photographic studies of movement, the work features three large LED walls where audio and visuals respond in real time to movement in the space—slowing when the room is still and accelerating as activity increases. Accompanied by a minimal techno soundscape, the piece invites reflection on how motion shapes our perception of time and space.
